Install instructions

If you're downloading the installer, it's self explanatory. Just run the executable.

If you download the raw files, right click the flyingtoasters2017.scr and select "Install."

The source code is a .MFA file for use with Clickteam Fusion 2.5 Developer. It requires you to have the File Object, YASO Object, Cursor Object, Open URLs Object, and Window Control object installed.

Hey, this works really well! Thanks for making it.

I run into one issue: the screensaver only populates the screen with toast and toasters one time; once it has done so, it doesn't spawn any further ones. This means that after a minute of the screensaver being on, it's just a black screen. Windows 11.

Any chance of an update?

Hmmmm. What's your desktop resolution? The trick is that this screensaver tracks when objects leave the left and bottom of the screen and then puts them just off screen at the top and right. It's weird if they just scroll off and never come back.

1920x1080 would be the resolution.
I agree, super weird in general.

Flying out of the sun
The smell of toast is in the air
When there's a job to be done
The Flying Toasters will be there
And it's flap! flap! flap!
Now help is on its way
This vict'ry song we sing
Flying out of the sun
On Flying Toaster wings!

...I can't believe I still remember that. I miss the sound effects, song and other miscellaneous happenings from the original. Like the toaster conga, with a blender.

As a child this was my first PC game. Even if it wasn't a PC game.

Will it fly in 4K After Dark?

Only one way to find out. I don't have a 4K display, though.
